As we come to the close of the first semester, I want to take a moment to reflect with gratitude on all that we have accomplished together and to thank you for the trust you place in our schools.
As Superintendent, I have had the privilege of learning alongside an extraordinary community of students, families, educators, and partners. Our shared theme—Rooted in Purpose, Ready to Lead, Rising Together—has guided our work and grounded us in what matters most: supporting every learner and honoring every pathway to success.
Being rooted in purpose means remaining steadfast in our commitment to students—celebrating their strengths, honoring their individuality, and ensuring they are supported academically, socially, and emotionally. Across our programs, I have witnessed care, dedication, and creativity in action every day.
Being ready to lead means stepping forward with courage, professionalism, and collaboration. Our staff and school leaders have embraced growth, navigated change, and shared responsibility, always keeping student needs and the success of their programs at the center of decision-making.
And rising together reminds us that our greatest progress happens through partnership. Families, community members, and staff working side by side create the conditions for meaningful learning and lasting impact. Your engagement, encouragement, and advocacy make a difference, and we are deeply thankful for your support.
As we look ahead to the next semester, we do so with optimism, purpose, and a continued commitment to continuous improvement. Together, we will keep building environments where students feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
Thank you for being an essential part of our school community. I wish you and your family a restful, joyful break and look forward to the opportunities that await us in the coming semester.
With gratitude and purpose,
Dr. Rena Whitten
